Visiting this website

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA) and delivered through Cloudflare, Inc. (USA), which provides DNS, the content delivery network and protection against attacks. When you open this website, these providers automatically process technical data so the site can be delivered quickly and securely:

  • IP address and the date and time of the request
  • the page requested and the referring page
  • browser, operating system and device type

This data is used only to run the website and to detect misuse, and it is deleted after a short time, at the latest after 90 days. Legal basis under the GDPR: our legitimate interest in a secure and working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Contact form and e-mail

When you write to us through the contact form or by e-mail, we process the details you give us: name, e-mail address, company if provided, the topic and your message. We use them only to answer your request and for any follow-up. Messages from the contact form are delivered to us by an e-mail service provider (Resend, Inc., USA, or the provider used). We keep your request as long as needed to handle it and as required by statutory retention periods. Legal basis under the GDPR: the steps you request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Website analytics

To understand how this website is used, we use Vercel Web Analytics by Vercel Inc. (USA). It counts page views, referring pages, country, browser, operating system and device type. It works without cookies and does not create profiles: visitors are not identified, and the data is only evaluated in aggregated form. Legal basis under the GDPR: our legitimate interest in improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We also use Vercel Speed Insights to measure how fast pages load (for example loading time and responsiveness), with the page address, browser and device type. It also works without cookies and does not identify visitors.

Cookies and fonts

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. If you choose light or dark mode in the header, this choice is stored in your browser (local storage) and never sent to us. Fonts are served from our own server, so no data is passed to font providers.

Links to other websites

This website links to other sites, for example trustify.ch or wordpress.org. When you follow such a link, the privacy policy of that site applies.

Disclosure and transfer abroad

We only share personal data with service providers who process it on our behalf (Vercel for hosting, analytics and speed measurement, Cloudflare for DNS and content delivery, and e-mail delivery) and are bound by contract to protect it. Some of them may process data outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA, for example in the USA. In that case we make sure there is an adequate level of protection, for example through the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Within the limits of the applicable law, you have the right to:

  • get information about the personal data we hold about you
  • have incorrect data corrected
  • have your data deleted or its processing restricted
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • receive your data in a common format (data portability)
  • withdraw a consent you gave, with effect for the future

To use these rights, write to [email protected]. You can also file a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, if you live in the EU/EEA, with your local data protection authority.

Data security

We protect personal data with appropriate technical and organizational measures. This website is only delivered over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

Changes

We may update this privacy policy when our website or the law changes. The version published here applies.
